Her Story
Please Welcome 𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗡𝗘𝗟.
Little Chanel is short and long. We were told she’s a Dachshund mix… a Chiweenie (Chihuahua x “weiner dog”). We don’t know for sure, but she’s definitely a shorty and she sure is a cutie. Her eyes just draw you in. She’s happy and easy-going, too.
Chanel was an owner surrender to a local shelter. We felt that she might not stand a good chance of getting adopted from the county shelter because her previous owner stated that, although she is great with kids, she’s not good with other dogs. That’s sort of a “scratch that dog off the list” notation for most adopters… Or worse, she might wind up in the hands of nefarious folks who look for dogs with “dog issues”. We liked her immediately. The shelter volunteers didn’t notice anything to suggest dog aggression. And when we interviewed her, it appeared it’s more likely a case of being afraid of other dogs. We’re working on that now… teaching her how to meet and greet – and trust other friendly dogs. We adore her. She’s a great girl.
Chanel is 3-years-old and 15 lbs. If you’d like to welcome her to your family, please fill out an adoption application! Chanel’s adoption fee is $300 and includes her spay, microchip, Bordetella vaccine and other vetting.
