Her Story

Zoey was adopted from us 4 years ago as an 8-week-old baby. She has been well-loved her entire life. But now her whole world is falling apart.

Due to divorce, her mom has to move in with family members. She has no other choice. The family members told her Zoey could come too, but she absolutely cannot live inside. Finding that unacceptable, her mom has asked us to find her a new family. She is devasted, and wishes there was another option, but right now there is none. She needs Zoey to be safe, loved – and part of a family.

Zoey is a gorgeous girl; she is active with and an energy level of medium to high. She knows sit, lay down, stay and shake and she does really well in the car. Her favorite game is chasing balls or Frisbees. She’s also a bit of a diva… she loves to be brushed.

 She has not spent time around other dogs, and is often reactive to dogs when out on walks, so she will need some confidence building and training. Zoey is very timid at first but warms up as she gets to know you and then will warm up and be affectionate (loves stretching out next to you on the couch and cuddling up in bed). She’s also house and crate trained; she weighs about 30 pounds.
