My Story

My seven 2-week old puppies and I were dropped off as owner surrenders on November 21 – the day before Thanksgiving. I was emaciated and scared. From the moment that Refuge Rescue found out about our dire situation, they worked hard to get us out. Three days later we were saved and moved into our temporary foster home.

My Personality

I am a very laid back girl. That’s why they named me Lady. I have been a super mama for all my pups. Even though I was scared and didn’t know what happened to us next, I allowed all the volunteers to handle my puppies and take care of us. I nursed them until they were seven weeks old and I never complained about. Now that they are nine weeks old I still play with them daily and teach them good manners.

I walk nicely on the leash. I know the basic commands such as my name, come, sit, leave it, wait, down, drop it. At our temporary foster home I have the whole basement to myself and I enjoy laying on a soft warm bed without being crated. As long as I have some chew bones, I am happy.

My puppies and I are now looking for our own separate forever home. In March I need to be spayed and I am looking for a foster home or my forever family now. If I can’t find a home by the end of January, I have to move to a kennel and was told that is no fun.

If you would like to have me as your lady, you can apply to “foster adopt” me now. You have to live in the greater Atlanta area so that you can take me to the Refuge Rescue veterinarian, who will spay me in a couple of months. Once that is taken care of, my adoption will be finalized and I am yours forever. So don’t delay. I know I will make a great companion for you!
