Her Story

 Introducing Kenzie!

This beautiful Golden girl was being given away (along with Hannah) by their owners because they could no longer care for them. One of our supporters was able to swoop in and bring them to safety. Dogs given away on social networking sites frequently wind up in bad situations. Since neither girl is spayed, they would most likely have been snatched up by someone who wanted to breed them. We are so happy we can help them find their forever homes!

Kenzie needs a foster home asap! She does great with other dogs.

Kenzie is a typical Golden. She is super happy and a bit Velcro-y. She doesn’t just want to be with her human friends, she needs to be with them. She’s bold and confident, and she’ll need some help with her manners. She’s a bit of a jumper right now. So she’ll needs help learning to keep all four on the floor. She’s super food motivated though, so training should be a breeze.

Kenzie weighs around 45 pounds and probably won’t be much more than 50 or so pounds as an adult. She’s 9 months old and active. She seems to be good with other dogs, but she does tend to boss around her “sister” who is more timid and easy-going. Kenzie can scale a 4 foot wall or fence without much effort, so she’ll need a tall fence to keep her contained and secure.

— Kenzie and Hannah are available to be adopted separately. We feel they will do best if adopted into separate homes. Her adoption fee is $600 and includes her upcoming spay, microchip, Bordetella vaccine, booster vaccines and other vetting.
