When we were at Cobb County Animal Services last week signing out Rocky, Milan, Honey and Chanel, we noticed a mild-mannered, little Pibble sitting politely and quietly in her run. She was on stray hold – and not available for several days. We went ahead and made arrangements to rescue her – just in case her owners didn’t reclaim her. Her people did not come for her. 🙁
Darling Jenny is about 18-months-old and 35-or-so-pounds. She loves to be close and get cuddles; she’s very loving and trusting. She’s used to car riding – jumped right in for her freedom ride and rode like a champ. It’s pretty clear she’s been a family dog. It’s heartbreaking to think that her family didn’t come looking for her when she got lost.
Unfortunately, Jenny has kennel cough. We’ve placed her on broad spectrum antibiotics, hoping they will take hold quickly. She’s curled up, all snuggly and soundly sleeping in her own little penthouse in our kennel – and she seems to be doing very well. She’s painfully thin right now; we’ll get her to a healthy weight with good nutrition. She’ll be ready to move to foster once we clear her respiratory infection.
Her adoption fee is $350 and includes her spay, microchip, Bordetella vaccine, Rabies vaccine, deworming, kennel cough meds and other vetting.
