His Story

This beautiful, fun-loving lab was chosen by the USDA to become one of their detection dogs. He passed all of the temperment tests and had what appeared to be a bright future as a government employee going for him. But his medical physical showed that Dudlee has an old, healed, untreated fracture of one of his front legs. It doesn’t seem to slow him down any, but it excludes him from that life of service.

So – that means Dudlee must be relegated to family dog status . . . to the joys of being the love of someone’s life, running and playing, snuggling and snoozing. 🙂 We want to help him find that perfect, happy home! He is gentle, very friendly with adults, kids and other dogs, walks pretty well on leash (with some excited pulling from time to time) and is crate trained. Dudlee weighs in at 81 pounds.
