His Story

Who does not want to kiss this face….and Eli just knows it!

Our sweet boy got picked up by animal control and ended in a high kill shelter, where he patiently waited for somebody to take him home. Poor guy, he is full of happiness and life and most certainly did not need to be stuck in a small run, so we rescued him, just to find out that in his previous home, they obviously didn’t care much because he was not kept up to date on heartwom prevention. He tested positive and we are doubly glad that he is a Refuge Dog now because we will treat him, so he can live a happy, healthy life. His treatment is scheduled and will take care of everything. He is young and otherwise healthy, so he’ll be good as new!

Eli was born on 5/2/18, just a puppy still. He will do best in a family who takes him places, lets him be part of the ‘pack’ and teaches him the ins and outs of daily life! He plays well with other dogs and thinks that everybody is his friend.

His adoption fee is $300 and he is available to go into a foster home or a foster-to-adopt situation until his heartworm treatment is complete. His best friend at our kennel is Hattie and the two of them wrestle with each other every day.
